The 9002 was closely developed with the costume team for The King's Man and the Cutler and Gross design studios in London and Italy. Based on a pair of 1920s motorcycle glasses, these period frames posed a manufacturing challenge with recreating its unique elliptical shape. The main task for Cutler and Gross was maintaining the look and feel of the vintage glasses they are based on, whilst creating a pair of sunglasses which fits and performs more like a modern day frame. Semi flat lenses replace period flat lenses with anti-reflective coating for added performance. Nose pads are added for a more comfortable fit and rim wire construction is resized to support modern faces. Features custom metal hardware with unique period patterning.
